A Last Farewell

My father passed away on Friday, the 4th of June, 2010.
Although he had been ailing for the past few months, it was a gentle passing, and he was able to speak almost till the very end. (He actually had some juice and buttermilk five minutes before he slipped away).
I like to think that he and my mother are together again.

Goodbye, Daddy, and thank you for everything.
More later.

  1. dipali ji...further to the FB note Im sure Baisali's dad and yours will be arguing to do away with one river of milk and honey to accomodate for one with tea (or dipping tea bags in milk and honey)

  3. just from your description alone, somehow even a person who has not interacted with either one of your parents can see how they would be watching over each other.

  10. Love you, Dipali.
It must be painful losing both your parents so soon after one another. But I guess he didn't want to live much longer without his wife. Love like that humbles you.

I wonder why people have to die. I keep asking myself the same questions everytime a dear one dies. Why do people have to die?
