My older son brought me this beautiful rug from Iran on this visit.
It is so lovely that a) I had to decorate my room around it, and b) I had to show it you, my gentle readers.
The divan is in the dining room. The long carved sticks you see on the corner table are whistling sticks from Bhopal- you twirl them around at speed and they whistle!

The rug is absolutely gorgeous! The colours are beautiful. So is everything else - the chairs, the cushions, divan... lovely :)
ReplyDeleteGosh the rug is so vivid and energising! Loved it! And the whistling sticks are something my husband wants to buy at every exhibition, but I stop him, coz certain little people might assume it's for other purposes :P

ReplyDelete@starry eyed: Any such stick is very tempting to many people, including little ones:) I'm loving the vibrant colours too:)
Next time I visit I want to twirl those sticks
ReplyDelete@eve's lungs: Do that!

I love the rug. And the whistling sticks, I have one of them. They are used by the shepherds as they walk through the forests. They also have a rainmaker. Do you have one of those? The room looks so inviting.
ReplyDelete@Radha:Thank you.
