It is a painful subject, one that many would wish to sweep under the carpet and pretend that it isn't there. That helps no one but the perpetrators. Do your bit to keep our children safe. Be aware. Talk about it. Read about it. Prevent it. Deal with it.
Hi Dipali.. I follow your blogs, and was very surprised to see this one.. Surprised, because no one wants to talk about this topic..Child sexual abuse.. and you did.. thank you for that. I am a survivor, have blogged about my journey, if you have the time... and interest.. do read it.. the purpose of my writing that blog is to spread awareness.. to shake people up to tell them it happens..

@Girl Interrupted: Sorry, the link misbehaved, so I had to cut and paste your comment here.
ReplyDeleteA group of bloggers has been trying to raise awareness of Child Sexual Abuse every April since 2011. There are a series of posts and a dedicated homepage. We hope that we succeed in our mission, and prevent this scourge from affecting more lives than it already has.
Thanks Dipali.. if there is any thing more that I can do.. please let me know.. sharing my story was one way, the video that I posted is also a very important tool to help kids become aware of such dangers..

@Girl Interrupted: You can add the CSAAM link to your post. If you would like it to be linked to the CSAAM blog I will check with the administrators.
ReplyDeleteHi Dipali,
ReplyDeleteVisited your blog after quite sometime. This is a very sensitive topic, more so now that I have two small boys. Making sure that they are safe where ever they go and to stay aware and alert is a huge task. Very good effort on your part. Kudos to you and everyone involved :)
@The Memorymaker: Good to see you here again. I'm a very small part of this initiative, but I do believe it is extremely important. Will send your kudos to the team!
