This beautiful rain tree is part of my morning walk route. I wonder what happened to it, and when. It looks as though it had been struck by lightning. Despite the damage and the dead half, it is still vibrant and alive. The dead part is now hosting another plant.I love this tree.

I too like trees. May be I will notice them a little more like you do. Your morning walk tree is indeed unusual. They suffer and yet they stay strong. Isn't that something?! By the way, i really like the simplicity in your posts.

wow! that looks great. i was wondering, sort of just coincidentally, about what i would like to draw/paint if i were an artist. and just when i was thinking about trees, those spectacular creations, i saw this pic! in another life, i would like do a wonderful still life colour canvas thingie of this tree.. in another life..

I love trees too. I hope I do not get runover one day, when I gaze at a tree and walk absentmindedly.
I was looking for this exact picture to illustrate what happens to the enery system of an abuse survivor after the lightning has struck. Thank you so much for posting it, it was just the job to show to a person today. Sometimes, a picture really does say more than a thousand words.
